Watford reports loss

The Championship club has announced a preliminary pre-tax loss of £4.50m for the year ended 30 June 2004. This year result shows much reduced loss compared to last year’s loss of £10.26m. Turnover reported £8.52m, a slight reduce from last year’s £8.67m. General costs reduced 35% from £15.87m to £10.31m due to the large reduction in salary costs from £11.3m to £7.7m. However, net debt increased by 4.55% from £6.94m to £7.26m.
