The SuperLiga club president Pinto da Costa who has been implicated in a bribery scandal has been relesed on bail of €125,000 after being accused of falsifying documents and on two counts of corruption. da Costa was arrested by local Police in an operation referred to as the ‘Golden Whistle’, which started on April have brought to the arrest of more than 20 people, including the president of the Professional Football League, Valentim Loureiro, and the vice-president of the national referee centre, Antonio Henriques. Antonio Araujo, the agent of Porto players Pepe and Leandro, was also released on bail of €100,000.
