Deutsche Telekom joins 2006 FIFA World Cup partners

After being involved for many years in the German Football Association and having recently supported the campaign to host the 2006 FIFA World Cup, The German telecom joins as a new Partner to FIFA’s top global sponsors, banking for FIFA a €100m income. The company will provide tailor-made IT system solutions, a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, and innovative mobile services. “Choosing the FIFA World Cup was absolutely the right decision for Deutsche Telekom. After all, around 30 billion cumulative viewers world-wide will follow the matches of the FIFA World Cup finals live on television”, Stephan Althoff, Head of Corporate Communications T-Com and responsible for the Group’s sponsoring activities, commented to media.
