A letter compiled by UEFA president Lennart Johansson and chief executive Lars-Christer Olsson has outlined various criteria that was not being met for forthcoming Euro 2008 championships. These include providing assurances over security and the provision of a cost budget, and the issue of ticketing. The letter was leaked to Swiss media, which reported that UEFA would withdraw the right for the two countries to host the tournament if these issues weren’t resolved.  UEFA have given the countries until the end of November to provide an adequate response to the letter. Meanwhile, The Scottish Football Association reveled that it would potentially be interested in hosting Euro 2008 should UEFA re-open bidding for the tournament.
