The Championship club has reported a preliminary pre-tax loss of £2.59m for the year ended 30 June 2004, compared to a pre-tax loss of £1.79m in the corresponding period the year before. Turnover reported £6.58m, while operating costs reported £7.9m. The increased pre-tax loss was primarily due to fall in profit from the sale of fixed assets, coming from player sales and from the sale of the National Football Museum lease. The wages-to-turnover ratio has been reported 67%, while net debt increased from £587,000 to £2.33m.
