Tottenham Hotspur report loss

The Premier League club published its financial report for the year ended 30 June 2004 and announced a pre-tax loss of £2.46m compared to loss of £7.12m in the corresponding period the year before. Turnover slightly dropped to £66.32m from last year’s £66.51m primarily due to lower merchandising income. Operating costs remained steady at £56.59m while net assets increased by £11.1m to £42.3m. Net debt reduced to £10.53m, and a total of £37.5m was spent on transfer fees for new players.
