TalkSport filed a complaint to the European Commission

UK radio broadcaster complained about the amount rival radio broadcaster BBC paid for securing the live rights to Premier League games. According to TalkSport officials, the BBC paid £39m for the three-year rights, which was overpay, guarantees that the BBC will hold on to their monopoly. BBC officials disagreed with the claims, and also disputed the figure TalkSport claimed the rights were sold for. European Commissioners are expected to answer TalkSport’s complaint by the end of the year.
