SuperLiga to be broadcast on TVI

TVI is to pay €13m for the broadcast rights to 33 Portuguese SuperLiga games and their exclusive highlights over the course of the next three seasons. The deal was reached with Sport TV – the channel that owns the broadcast rights for the rest of the top-flight matches in Portugal. State channel RTP which had the agreement with Sport TV for the past six years, but was no longer in a financial position to bid for the concession, has nevertheless retained the broadcast rights for the Portuguese national team's fixtures.
