A three-year, EUR 50 million deal had landed German domestic cup football rights for three broadcasters.
ARD, ZDF, which are public-service broadcasters, joined pay-TV Premiere in landing the deals. The agreement was signed off on by the 36 first- and second- division Bundesliga clubs through a central marketing system.

Antitrust agency official Ralph Langhoff said the central marketing system in place was essentially the same as price control.
Bundesliga chief executive Christian Seifert has believes the antitrust investigation will lead to no action by the agency.
