Olympic Lyon and SPORTFIVE sign 10-year contract

French Olympic Lyon informs that its board of directors has approved a comprehensive marketing rights agreement with SPORTFIVE, a subsidiary of Lagardère Sports.

This new agreement between OL Group and SPORTFIVE is a 10-year contract, which takes effect as from the delivery of the new stadium and which will provide OL Group with a signing fee of 28 million euros VAT excluded that SPORTFIVE will pay in 4 times until December 2011.

OL Group is fully aware of Lagardère Sports contribution to its international development and to the stadium project optimization.

Christophe Bouchet declares: "I am happy and proud of this new partnership. The attractiveness of the city of Lyon, the quality of the OL management and of its shareholders, the strategic vision of its president Jean Michel Aulas, their ambition for the club, the indisputable European awareness of the club have strongly motivated SPORTFIVE to support and invest in the OL's projects. The club will benefit from SPORTFIVE's know-how in all its specific fields of action (marketing, naming rights, stadium consulting...). We will also use all the strengths of Lagardère Sports in order to provide OL with all the means to its ambitions. This long-term partnership was key to establish a fully and complete cooperation. It will allow an in-depth work in order to build a common and successful future."
