Mercedes becomes new Hamburg partner

With the beginning of this new season, the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Hamburg will be a new official partner to the Bundesliga club, Hamburg SV. As part of this cooperation, Mercedes-Benz will have a high profile in the HSH Nordbank Arena as the sponsor of the Bundesliga clock and via numerous promotions and vehicles on display. The collaboration, which was brokered by SPORTFIVE, has initially been agreed for three years.

As part of this new cooperation, Mercedes-Benz Hamburg is offering all HSV members an exclusive give-away from now until 31st October on all new Mercedes-Benz cars. Through this promotion, all HSV members buying one of these vehicles during this period will get an extra discount off the price of €1,000!

"Just like HSV, Mercedes-Benz is connected to the city of Hamburg by a history going back many years. The 'marque with the star' has, for instance, had a dealership in this Hanseatic city for almost a century," explains Matthias Matthies, Dealer Principal of Mercedes-Benz Hamburg. "Being in the 'first division' is also something we've got in common - and we've both been there for generations! We're really looking forward, therefore, to our future collaboration with HSV."

"We are delighted to be able to welcome a top brand like Mercedes-Benz as our new HSV partner," says Katja Kraus, Marketing and Communications Director at the club.

"We are thrilled to have secured Mercedes-Benz, one of the German Football Association's major partners, as a new sponsor for HSV," emphasises Hendrik Schiphorst, manager of SPORTFIVE’s team at the Hamburg club. "This sponsorship package with HSV is an excellent platform for Mercedes-Benz to promote their products within an emotion-charged environment."
