Queens Park Rangers is finalising takeover

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
English Queen Park Rangers seems on the verge of finalising a GBP 22 million takeover by Flavio Briatore, Renault's Formula One managing director.

As part of the change, three of the championship club board members (Nick De Marco, James Ferrary and Kevin Steele) have resigned, but shown no ill will.

"We believe the new investment coming into the club will be the most important for years," read a statement on the club's website issued by the trio. "It will save QPR from the perilous financial position we have found ourselves in and should put the club in an excellent position to move forward."
