J Sports, a Japan-based broadcasting company, has landed the right to air English Premier League matches this season (2007-08).
The deal, brokered by SPORTFIVE, gives the company Premier League rights for the first time.
J Sports has been a part of SPORTFIVE deals in the past.
"The deal we agreed with J Sports represents a continuation of our excellent partnership in the past", said SPORTFIVE executive vice president Robert Müller von Vultejus. "We have cooperated with regard to a variety of content for their overseas programmes like Rugby Six Nations and Champions League Qualifiers. We are very pleased that this cooperation will now include Premier League matches too."
