ESPN has nailed down Serie A rights for Latin America and the Caribbean, for a three-year period ending in 2010.
The deal, brokered though Media Partners & Silva, provides ESPN the exclusive rights in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
"We are thrilled we will continue to have Serie A in our programming lineup," said Tim Bunnell, senior vice president, programming and marketing, ESPN International. "Serie A is home to some of the world's top players and most storied clubs, and fans throughout Latin America and the Caribbean will now be able to see expanded coverage on ESPN."
ESPN's coverage will include numerous live matches. Other media rights include live streaming of select matches on ESPN-branded broadband platforms throughout Latin America, including some matches on ESPN360 Mexico.
