English Liverpool has revealed its stadium plans for a new 60,000-seat venue, anticipating a move to the new grounds in 2010.

Part of the theme deals with seat expansion to 78,000 in the future. That will hinge on transportation improvements. The cost will be in the area of GBP 300 million.

Liverpool co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett had made the new stadium one of their top priorities after arriving at the club and they ordered a review of the original plans for the new ground.

Part of the stadium plans calls for enhancing the feature of it being set in a park atmosphere.

"This is the immensely impressive result of their deliberations," club chief executive Rick Parry said. "We're creating a stadium that not only the club and supporters can be proud of, but something the whole city can be proud of. Liverpool as a city is on the move and deserves world-class developments like this."
