Hamburg stadium is renamed

The Bundesliga has its first stadium name-change, as Hamburg HSV will become HSH Nordbank Arena.

The new club partner will have its colours painted around the stadium, and the arena will have a new design.

Work on the touch-ups is scheduled to finish in September. The deal was brokered by SPORTFIVE. "We are delighted that HSV's home ground is now officially called the HSH Nordbank Arena," says chairman of HSH Nordbank, Hans Berger. "We're sure that through this exciting partnership we're investing in our brand in an ideal way and look forward to many successful seasons ahead."

"HSH Nordbank is a company rich in tradition that's a perfect fit with us in many ways besides their corporate colours," says HSV chairman and managing director Bernd Hoffmann. "I'm sure that HSH Nordbank will benefit greatly from the Arena's pulling power."

"As pioneers of this form of advertising in Germany, we're delighted to have achieved with HSH Nordbank and HSV the first-ever rebranding of a Bundesliga stadium," says Hendrik Schiphorst, manager of SPORTFIVE's team at HSV.
