German VfL Bochum has a new partner in discount clothing retailer KiK Textilien und Non-Food GmbH, which will be the club's main sponsor for the next two years.
The deals were brokered by SPORTFIVE. KiK lands a total promotional presence in all areas related to the Bundesliga club. In addition to shirt sponsorship, the KiK logo will also be on perimeter boards and outside of the grounds, such as on flags around the stadium, the team coach and on Bochum trams.
Players will participate in special promotions and there will be a hospitality allocation.
The business and the club have ties in the same area, and the VfL Bochum's fanbase of 11 million-plus also was enticing for KiK.
"We are delighted to be working side by side with a Bundesliga club with as long a tradition as VfL Bochum," says Stefan Heining, executive chairman of KiK Textilien and Non-Food GmbH. "As we're based in this region ourselves, we feel a special sense of duty towards the Ruhr District and this club."
