Despite rumours that they might be getting ready to sell, Joel Glazer said his family intends to stick it out in its ownership of English Manchester United.
The family took control of the club in 2005, and many fans opposed the takeover.
Joel Glazer pointed to a GBP 50 million spending spree on players such as Owen Hargreaves as evidence the family wants to stick with the club.
"What more can we do to convince people we are in it for the long haul?" he asked. "To win the Premiership was a dream come true and, now there is more investment in the team, things look good for the future. We intend staying around for a long time."
