Stadium meets safety regulations

The Italian government made the decision to allow fans into Parma's Tardini stadium for Sunday's Serie A match against Sampdoria after an inspection of newly installed electronic turnstiles was completed on Thursday.

Tardini is the fifth Serie A stadium to comply with security regulations laid down in a tough anti-hooligan plan approved by the government last week after a policeman was killed during rioting at a match between Catania and Palermo.

Only club season ticket holders were able to enter Reggina's Granillo stadium after work on it brought the stadium close to compliance with the regulations.

UEFA announced that Inter Milan and AC Milan would play its next Champions League matches at the San Siro stadium with a limited crowd capacity.

UEFA said on its website that the capacity for the Inter Milan match against Valencia on February 21 would be 36,000 but there has been no decision yet on the capacity for the AC Milan v Scottish Celtic match on March 7.
