English Sheffield's chairman, Dave Allen, has told the Sheffield Star that he has talked with four groups that are interested in taking over at the club.
"We are having discussions with four different parties, three of them are from overseas," Allen told the newspaper.
"One of the four would be doing a deal in which I would stay and probably contribute as well."
He wants the new owners to take over by the start of next season.
"There is a lot of water to go under the bridge. I think that by the start of the season it will all be resolved," he added.
An Extraordinary General Meeting is scheduled for this week, but a club spokesman said the meeting was called to discuss a financial technicality and "no other business will be put before the EGM."
