A spokesman for the Portuguese Football Federation (PFF) said it would be taking corrective action against 11 referees that showed "signs of corruption in official matches."
The spokesman said the FPF was listening to testimony from the referees before deciding what action to take against them, which could include their suspension from football matches.
The decision follows the publication of a book by Carolina Salgado, in which she claims the club often paid bribes to referees. Salgado is the former girlfriend of Pinto da Costa, the president of champions, and current league leaders, Porto.
Two of the referees officiate in Portugal's premier league and were already being investigated by the Attorney General for alleged bribery.
