Sports firm Puma, which was the official supplier to Belgian Club Brugge from 1976 to 1995, has announced a long-term contract with the club was agreed upon. The company will supply all of the club's training apparel and equipment.

"Club Brugge is an established success story in Belgian football enjoying national and international appeal," said Sander van Gelder, general manager of Puma Benelux.

"The partnership is an important cornerstone as part of the company strategy to further expand the growth in the football business following the unparalleled success in calendar year 2006."

"Puma is a top brand enjoying a quality reputation in the world of football," said Michel D'Hooghe, president of Club Brugge.

"Puma's performance product expertise and creativity were decisive factors that appealed to Club Brugge. We are positive that the club players, officials and fans will be excited about the new product designs for the upcoming 2007- 2008 season to be revealed later this year."

The joint venture, which will begin in the 2007- 2008 season, follows similar deals with clubs such as English Tottenham Hotspur, German VfB Stuttgart, AS Monaco, French Girondins de Bordeaux and Sporting Club de Portugal.

Puma is also a supplier to a number of national clubs.

Club Brugge has previously won twelve Belgian League titles, nine Belgian Cups and is presently 4th in the Jupiler League, Belgium's first division.
