For 2007, UEFA Chief Executive Lars-Christer Olsson hopes people involved in football resolve to settle their differences in front of the governing bodies, as opposed to the courts.
It is one item among many Olsson is hoping will happen.
"I would like to see an agreement with all stakeholders on the club formats and how we should co-operate with the clubs," Olsson told uefa.com. "We should [decide on] the distribution models for the money - those who are earning [more] should be able to give to those who have less - and we can have a proper distribution of resources from the top professional game to the grassroots."
Among Olsson's other wishes are for extended cooperation between the European football and the European authorities, something Olsson hopes last year's independent review will help launch.
"In the second half of 2007, when the Portuguese government has the presidency of the European Union, I would like to see an agreement between European football and the EU," Olsson said. "This would mean that we would get legal certainty, and it is no longer the courts that are deciding the future of football, but the football governing bodies."
