SPORTFIVE to continue market the Primera Division

SPORTFIVE will continue to represent the exclusive TV rights to Spain's premier league, the Primera Division.

The agreement starts from 2006-2007 and allows SPORTFIVE to market the rights of both Primera División and the Spanish Cup, Copa del Rey, across Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia (except Japan), as well as in Eastern Europe.

"This agreement adds a great asset to SPORTFIVE's portfolio. Primera División tops the UEFA ranking of European leagues based on performances in European competitions over a five-year period, ahead of Serie A and the English Premier League," said Robert Müller von Vultejus, Executive Vice President SPORTFIVE.

SPORTFIVE's Asian portfolio covers live European football league action from Spain, Italy and Portugal. It also includes SPORTFIVE's UEFA EURO 2008 qualifiers and UEFA Cup 2006-2007 matches.
