Norwegian football gets EUR 635,000 bump

Rosenborg will be providing the Norwegian Football Federation with EUR 635,000 due to their participation in last season's UEFA Champions League group stage.

RBK have already been paid for reaching the group stage so the money the country's federation has been given by the UEFA's solidarity programme will now be handed to other clubs.

The general secretary of the NFF, Karen Espelund, said funds will be used by RBK's rivals to produce their own talent. She added that Norway had been given more money than some countries because they had one team in the group stage of the tournament.

UEFA's solidarity rules means that some of the money from Champions League will benefit smaller clubs in developing younger talent.
