SPORTFIVE to market Portuguese League in Asia

SPORTFIVE, the international sports marketing group, has been signed as the new agent for the rights to the Portuguese league on the Asian market. At the end of a successful tender process for SPORTFIVE, the agency and the rights holder SPORT TV Portugal recently signed an agreement to this effect.

For SPORTFIVE, this is the first co-operation with the Portuguese football league. For the next two years, the agency will exclusively handle the league's TV rights. "SPORTFIVE has a strong foothold in the Asian market", explains Bessa Tavares, a member of the SPORT TV Portugal management board. "We are most confident that their commitment will lead to an increase in airtime and exposure for the Portuguese league."

Says Robert Müller von Vultejus, Executive Vice President of the SPORTFIVE Group: "The Asian market is still a must for all international football TV rights, and thanks to our agreement with SPORT TV Portugal we look forward to offering Portuguese football on this vast and promising market."
