Another World Cup record has been set that doesn't deal with cards and fouls. FIFA's official website has set a record for page views, surpassing the 2002 World Cup.
In its first two weeks, FIFAWorldCup.com attracted more than 2.5 billion page views, passing the 2 billion during the 2002 tournament. The decision to stream free video highlights to most territories has paid off in particular with more than 60 million streams.
Other key figures released include 41 million page views via its mobile web portal, and 750,000 registered players in its official fantasy game.
Final figures for the site will be released shortly after the final match on July 9.
