Jewson has signed up to sponsor the south stand of Arena Coventry

Coventry firm Jewson has signed up to sponsor the south stand of the 32,000-seater football stadium in a ten year deal, estimated £ 7m. The timber and building materials supplier, based at Binley Business Park, is the third corporate sponsor of the huge development. The move follows the Evening Telegraph's decision to be the first corporate sponsor, backing the north stand, and Marconi's deal to sponsor the west stand. The big-name main sponsor of the £113 million stadium is about to be unveiled - and set a new record in the process and will be the largest venue sponsorship deal in the UK. Rumors have been circulating that the main sponsor could be a major energy supplier or car manufacturing firm.
