The European championship official website has registered over 500m page views and over 40m unique visits since its launch on 31 March, more than three times the figures of the Euro2000 competition. The site, available in nine languages, has received most of his visits from outside Europe (55%). The traffic figures show that although the tournament is a European event, it was followed by a global audience. A team of 40 journalists and technicians from 20 nationalities produced the site, and it has been the first time that it was produced completely in-house by UEFA New Media.
