The Premiere League club has not played a game in its new stadium, but officials are already projecting record profits. The club will leave their long-time home of Highbury and move into a 60,000-capacity Emirates Stadium for next season.
The club’s managing director Keith Edelman said the North London club would outperform Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium even though Emirates Stadium will have 8,000 fewer seats, due to higher ticket prices and more luxury suites that would be available. “We will earn significantly more in revenue,” Edelman said. “Our gate income will probably be the highest in the world.”
