Fox Soccer Channel Kicks 2006 with ‘Super Saturdays Plus’

Fox Soccer Channel (FSC), the USA-based football (soccer) channel announced the addition of "Super Saturday," a weekly eight-hour block of the English Premier League (FAPL) programming, to its weekend line-up. Launched in response to viewer requests for enhanced coverage of FAPL action, "Super Saturday" has debuted in 14 January 2006 and features live coverage of each Saturday's FAPL matches, as well as "Super Saturday (Plus)," a new half-hour live highlights show.

The "Super Saturday" block will begin each Saturday at 7:00 am (ET) with the "FAPL Preview Show," followed usually by three FAPL matches. "Super Saturday " rounds out the eight-hour programming block at 2:30 pm ET with a review of all the day's FAPL games and highlights from other matches previously aired that day. The show will also preview the games scheduled to air on Fox Soccer Channel later that weekend.

"Super Saturday " will air live each Saturday during the FAPL season (August to May) from the Fox Sports studios in Los Angeles.
