Clubs under tax investigation

Clubs are under investigation from taxing authorities, but SKAT, the country’s tax agency, denied claims that clubs were guilty of any major irregularities. SKAT was investigating whether clubs were making any untaxed payments to player agents. Clubs investigated include Super League clubs Silkeborg, Viborg, AaB and FC Midtjylland. “In respect to the information we have gathered so far we can’t say that the problems we have found can be connected to tax evasion,” said SKAT spokesperson Henriette Kinnunen. “It is true that we have found some irregularities but it is only regarding figures between 2,000 and 50,000 (EUR).”
