MDM launched stadium music channel

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Match Day Media (MDM), the trans-stadia TV network, has launched a new network-wide music content platform. The offering - Stadium Music League - is in conjunction with its music partner TuneTribe.com, the independent download specialists. The initial launch was at the Manchester United-Chelsea match, and it will begin broadcasting from in-stadium plasma screens across its network of 15 top-flight UK clubs on November 19.

The Stadium Music League will provide each stadium with a unique chart, where positions are controlled entirely by participating fans at the game. Every time a vote is cast, the consumer is sent the ringtone and a pre-paid link to download the full track at MDMTV.com powered by TuneTribe.com. Every vote will then count as a sale and be eligible for inclusion in the UK’s Official Charts.
