Stadco, the owners of the new 20,000 seat Morfa stadium in Swansea, has agreed a five-year deal, worth GBP 500,000, with Liberty Properties. The stadium is the home of League One club Swansea City and Celtic League rugby union club the Ospreys.

Stadco opened the stadium nearly 18 months ago and negotiated naming rights deal in a bid process with several bidders, including Cable and telecommunications company NTL, Telecommunications Company Communications Direct, motor dealership FRF, and Liberty Properties.

"We have been working very hard to find the right top name sponsor and we are thrilled to have Liberty Properties as our partner,” Gerald Clement, StadCo chairman, commented to local media.

"I know that Liberty Stadium will become a name associated with all that is great about rugby, football and Swansea," Swansea Council leader Chris Holley commented to local media.
