The Swedish National Tax Board in currently investigating the Premier Division club for tax fraud. According to local media, the club has paid trainers and players allegedly "black", or cash-in-hand, pension payments which were not recorded in the accounts. Furthermore, sponsorship agreements were kept secret from the authorities in order to avoid paying the advertising tax, while many records for travel and for other payments were missing. The authorities are investigating the club for alleged frauds in taxation during 2000-2004 while Deputy Prime Minister Bosse Ringholm was the club chairman. During that period Ringholm was Sweden's finance minister - and then sports minister. Ringholm resigned from his post in the club earlier this year.
