Russian Football Union president Vitaly Mutko has claimed that his organization’s US$12m budget should be raised to US$70m. "This money is almost exclusively spent for national teams,” Mutko said. “The training base, equipment, food and travel expenses are only the tip of the iceberg." He also added that the RFU has been brokering a deal with a company on a new kit for all the 16 Russian national teams of all levels. According to Mutko, the government has approved a construction of a 55,000 capacity ground for the national team in the Botanic Garden region of the city.
