Osasuna in stadium naming rights deal

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
The Primera Liga club signed a three-year deal, reported €4.5m, with the local government. The club’s stadium name is set to be changed to the Reyno de Navarra. Reyno de Navarra - the kingdom of Navarra - is the slogan used by the regional government to promote tourism in the area. The controversial proposal, which some critics say is a waste of government money and others say could result in political interference in the running of the club, has to be approved by the regional parliament before it can be implemented. The El Sadar stadium, which has a capacity of close to 20,000, has been home to the Pamplona-based club since 1967.
