The Premier League club has vowed to invest US$300m in the construction of a new ground, according to media repoerts. The ground will be built in the same location as the old one and will be named after famous Russian footballer Eduard Streltsov. Club director general Yury Belous said the current ground is owned by an investment fund and added that the mayor of Moscow, who is a shareholder in the club, ordered the fund to sell the ground to FC Moskva. Construction is set to be completed next year. The stadium in its present state hosts only 13,000 and is often criticised by fans and media alike for its poor condition.
