Russia launches worldwide sports TV channel

International sports satellite TV channel Planeta Sport goes on air this month. The new Russian language station, which uses satellites Yamal-202 and HotBird 6, will cover Eastern and Western Europe, the Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula, India, China and Central Asia. The channel will broadcast domestic football leagues, as well as other sports.
