Arsenal to cut season ticket queue for home buyers

The Premier League club has developed a scheme where fans are being offered the chance to guarantee their place at the new Emirates Stadium in Ashburton Road skipping the two-year waiting list.

Developer Galliard Homes is building 255 apartments in Drayton Park, next to the stadium. One-bedroom flats start at £225,000 and each property will come with the option of buying one season ticket. Galliard Homes sales and marketing director Madeleine Flower said: "Any Arsenal fan, who wants to live near the new stadium, would like to get hold of a season ticket and are on the look-out for an excellent property investment should be interested in this exciting new development." Season tickets at the current Highbury Stadium cost up to £1,724.
