Sogecable has been able to reduce the losses from its Digital Plus pay-TV platform by more than 60% as a result of increased subscriber numbers. Losses fell from €46.6m to €17.9m in the first quarter of the year. At March 31, Sogecable had 2,093,000 subscribers, of which 1,700,000 are to Digital Plus. In the last six months the digital satellite platform has gained 95,000 new clients. First quarter revenue rose 4% to €396m with subscriber revenue representing 75% of turnover. Average monthly subs revenue at Digital Plus rose to €43.3 from €42.1. The group’s EBITDA increased by 21.4% to €77.2 million.
