The Premier League club is set to rake in at least £50m in revenue on the move to its new Emirates stadium in August 2006. “When it's finished, Arsenal will be a much stronger football club and will be able to invest much more on the pitch and on transfers.'' Managing Director Keith Edelman commented to media. The club hopes to boost their income at the £357m complex at Ashburton Grove. The 60,000-seater stadium will boast restaurants in all four corners. The club already has sold 142 of 150 corporate-entertainment boxes for £65,000 to £150,000 a season, which will account for 15% of the clubs revenue. The club is expected to generate £100m from the sale of their current stadium at Highbury. Additionally the club hopes to seal lucrative sponsorship contracts similar to the one secured with Dubai, United Arab Emirates-based airline who agreed to pay £100m to sponsor Arsenal in a 15-year deal that included naming rights to the ground last year. “We will have a beer sponsor, a mobile sponsor and probably an energy sponsor to name but three,'' Edelman said.
