The Championship club Cardiff has received £1m, an interest free loan from Vice-chairman Michael Issac. The money will allow the club with debts of nearly £30m to pay players wages and takes the immediate pressure off for a ‘fire-sale’ of players. The club’s board still has an uphill struggle to cut the club’s wage bill in order to ease cash flow problems while avoiding relegation.
