Shareholder Vladimir Romanov called an Extraordinary Shareholders General Meeting to instruct the Hearts board to withdraw from the sale of Tynecastle stadium to Cala housing group, a deal signed last September for £20.5m. Club’s chief executive Chris Robinson has recommended that Tynecastle should be sold and the club should move to Murrayfield rugby stadium until a new permanent home was found, however, an extension to the deadline for the conclusion of the sale of Tynecastle to the Cala housing group has been agreed. Chairman George Foulkes told media that he expects Romanov to conclude the takeover of the club and clear its debts.
