English Arsenal Football Club chief executive Ivan Gazidis has expressed that the club is on solid financial ground, according to sportspromedia.

Gazidis revealed that the most recent financial statements showed a profit of GBP 45 million. The Leader reported the chief as saying that the club has a ‘self-sustaining model,’ and that the money Arsenal earns is reinvested into the club. This is what gives the club what he calls ‘independence from its owership,’ as Arsenal is not financially dependant upon the financial stability of the owners.

He also commented that the club is ‘very, very robust financially.’
