English Hull City chairman, Adam Pearson, is expected to supervise a reduction in the team in order to cut back on player wages, The Times reports.

The club’s debts total GBP 27 million, and the current wage bill is GBP 40 million. Hull City needs at least GBP 18 million by the end of the season.

The club plans to sell players Peter Halmosi, George Boateng, Bernard Mendy, Ibrahima Sonko, Richard Garcia, Caleb Folan, and Daniel Cousin during the next transfer window in January.

Pearson explained that they do not need to sell their top players at this point, and the club will be able to manage the situation if they act soon. He is also in talks with potential investors, and could land a deal by the end of the year.
