Soccerex announced that one of the most powerful figures in world football, Ricardo Terra Teixeira, will be at this year’s event.

As head of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Teixeira is in charge of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and will be ideally placed to report on preparations in Brazil, including infrastructure, security and stadia redevelopment. Furthermore, he will on hand to provide an insight into how Brazil plans to host two major sporting events in quick succession.

Teixeira will join his South African counterpart Danny Jordaan, CEO of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee, at Soccerex 09 as South Africa and Brazil look to further strengthen their relations and share best practice on staging football’s greatest event.

He will join other members of FIFA’s Executive Committee at Soccerex including Joseph S. Blatter, Franz Beckenbauer and Rafael Salguero.
