Sogecable is to renegotiate contracts with cable operators

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
The Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) is urging Sogecable, the company owns Digital Plus and terrestrial pay-TV channel Canal Plus, to re-negotiate its contracts to cable operators for the Primera Liga matches. The CMT ruled that the current contracts with cable operators were unfair and disproportional to revenues, in contrary to the merger conditions approved by the Government between Canal Satelite Digital and Via Digital to form Digital Plus in 2003.
