Eredivisie media rights bid

The league management has released a media rights tender for three-year period starting from the 2005/06 season. The tender includes six packages: package 1 Open Network Premium Highlights Incl. 3 Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV away games, package 2 Open Network Friday live match Excl. 3 Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV away games, package 3 Second rights highlights All Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV games, package 4 Subscription TV package All Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV games
(excl. 3 away games), package 5 Eredivisie pay-TV Gold package Eredivisie radio rights, package 6 Radio rights Gouden Gids Divisie radio rights. Additional 22 games covering the end of season playoffs for qualification into the following season’s UEFA competitions will be added to the 306 league games per season. Dutch Media Authority officials have express concerns of infringe the freedom of broadcasters, since some of the clauses in the Eredivisie bid dealing with placement of billboards and commercials during programming violate media laws.
