UEFA awards EURO 2012 rights in Portugal

UEFA has announced that Sport TV Portugal S.A. has signed the agreement for the paid broadcasting rights for the UEFA EURO 2012 in Portugal.

The deal includes comprehensive coverage of all 31 matches with magazine programmes and highlights for each matchday. The games will air on all of Sport TV channels, which include Sport TV 1, Sport TV 2 and Sport TV HD.

The rights will also be exploited online and via mobile connections, so that Portuguese football supporters can have easy access to match coverage.

The free broadcasting rights have not yet been awarded.
